Join Us
The Hawaii Society of Mayflower Descendants would love you to join our group! If you are 18 years of age or older and are descended from a passenger on the Mayflower on its voyage to Plymouth, New England in December 1620, you are likely eligible for membership.

Your journey to become a member of the Mayflower Society begins by submitting your proposed DIRECT lineage from a Mayflower passenger. There are two ways to accomplish this:
- Submit a Mayflower Lineage Match request to the General Society of Mayflower Descendants (GSMD) in Plymouth, Massachusetts. The form to submit the request is located at this link: https://themayflowersociety.org/genealogy/mlm-landing-page/. The GSMD charges $75 for this service. When completed, you (and our Historian Team) will receive a detailed report outlining which of your proposed generations have already been proven, and which you will need to prove, as well as instructions for your next steps.
- Contact the Hawaiʻi Mayflower Society through our contact form located at this link: https://mayflowerhawaii.org/contact-us/. Our Historian Team will then reach out to you with a form to complete with your proposed lineage. We will then use this information to verify your proposed lineage and determine which generations have already been proven and which you will need to prove.
No matter which method you choose to pursue, we will be there to help you along your journey to membership.
When your application is ready to be submitted for final approval to the GSMD in Plymouth, our Treasurer will reach out to you to collect the GSMD application fee of $150 and the Hawaii Society Annual dues of $60 PRIOR to submitting the application.
For the years following an applicant’s approval, Annual dues are $60 for the calendar year January 1 through December 31 or any portion thereof. Annual Dues notices are sent each January and are expected to be paid as soon as possible but must be paid by December 15th to retain membership.
“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step” goes the Chinese proverb. Proving your lineage to a Mayflower passenger is such a journey. But be aware that this is not a short process and will take several months, but in the end will be well worth it! In the meantime, we will add your name to our “Future Members” email list and keep you up to date with all the goings on of the Hawaii Society. We look forward to having you join us!
